Well. . here is a long overdue update about Patrick.
Patrick is in an area of high activity. Please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers!! The weather there is still mostly around 110 degrees everyday. Patrick is also a member of a Quick Response Force (QFR) team. So he is getting very little sleep, because if something happens Pat’s QFR is the first to respond. He is still the “gunner” on his vehicle, and is going out on multiple missions each day. During these missions half the platoon goes out at a time, and they are able to rotate (giving them about 4 hours off between missions). Once they return from a mission the first thing they do is clean their weapons, and try to grab a bite to eat. Patrick also works on Rapid Response Force shifts (I don’t know if this is the same as QFR or not.. .) these shifts last about 48 hours.
Patrick still enjoys finding things in the shops there that he can buy with American money, as it goes a long way over there. He loves watching movies, so I am sure he has purchased many DVDs to help him pass the time, and help get his mind off of things that are going on.
Check out guestbook entry # 39 – it’s an entry from Patrick!
Continued thanks to all who are supporting Patrick and our family. Your thoughts, prayers, and donations mean so much to Patrick, his company, and our family!!! Thank you sooo much!!
