New Rotation Schedule & Incredible Heat!!!
It has been awhile since my last posting, but there isn’t a ton of info. to share right now. Patrick is on a new rotation. Four days at Camp, four days doing missions, and four days at another location. I don’t think that is the exact order of his location, but it is the main concept. He is usual able to communicate for about 8 days in a row, then is out of service for four. He still tries to call home once a week and we always love hearing his voice. He has been doing well. It seems like the heat is getting to him, and he still has August (the hottest month over there, left). From what I understand the temp is between 120-140 degrees. With temperatures like this, it isn’t hard to see why Patrick gets worn out. He also is not getting as much sleep as he would like. At one location Patrick has this mattress he is not a fan of at all. He said it is nothing like our mattresses here, and is more like a sponge draining everything out of him. Patrick says most nights he has to get up to drink lots of water so the mattress doesn’t dehydrate him! He is still on the first response team, and often time needs to go out in the middle of the night for that. Please keep Patrick is your thoughts and prayers, and Patrick still comes across some high activity. Patrick is still in good spirits, and loves hearing from everyone back home. Feel free to email him, or send him some mail. If you would like to email him, and do not have his email address, feel free to email me: SLynchie6@yahoo.com and I will forward the email to him.
