Cold in Iraq

Well Patrick did make it back to Iraq safely. He says the weather has changes quite dramatically and he is very cold over there. He is bundling up more, and taking things one day at a time. Since his return there have been some changes in his routine. His guard shifts and his missions are more frequent, but shorter in duration. He is doing well, and has heard rumors that this platoon might be back in the U.S. by sometime in April (which is about 2-3 months sooner than expected). Patrick has also signed a new contract which will extend the duration of his enlistment by only one day, but this day will allow him to go to school for 3 months and be on "light" Army duty during this time. I do not know too much about this extension, but know that Patrick is very excited to be able to get some schooling done.
