Partial Internet

This past week Patrick made his trip to a new location where he is expected to remain for a few months. The Camp where Patrick is currently located is in Iraq. The weather lately has been over 110 degrees, and occasionally there are days that are about 80 degrees outside. So far Patrick feels fairly safe in his current location and is feeling pretty good. For his first trip outside the wire he was not as nervous as he thought he would be, and was amazed at how littered the country is. Patrick is the “gunner” on his vehicle, and said the ride does get pretty bumpy in that position. His company still experiences incoming “fireworks” that shake the tent up pretty good, but he feels fairly safe. As his company progresses in the transition period they go out on more missions, but I do not have any details on what exactly he is doing. Patrick says he should know more about the missions, and his rotation for missions in the next few weeks.

Patrick has been able to get some internet access lately. So we have been receiving more emails. He has also been taking more pictures with his digital camera, so I am going to try to create an album sometime to post some of his pictures. One of these pictures is the one above where he is sitting on the back of one of his vehicles.

Keep your eyes open The Reminder is publishing an article on Patrick sometime this week. Once I find it online, I will also try to post a link to it!
