What’s New? : Job details, and upcoming training
Well since Patrick has moved to Colorado his position is in the training room. He is working with the Headquarters platoon and is working under the Commander and 1st Sergeant. He processes information from the rest of the Company and needs to keep track of everything the unit does as far as training. He also spends of lot of time getting things organized. At the end of the month his unit is going through extraordinary weapons training. I am sure this will not only mean training for Pat, but will also create a lot of work processing all that information. This training will focus on extending shooting distances, advanced shooting techniques, and designated marksman courses. Patrick has heard some more talk about potentially another deployment. This time it most likely would be to Afghanistan. We are unsure if this will be affecting Patrick or not due to the time frame his company may be slated for redeployment. So no official word yet, and no need to get nervous quite yet – I just wanted to let everyone know of the possibility of another tour overseas. On a more exciting note, Patrick is planning a trip home around the holidays – the dates are still yet to be determined, but it will be great to have Patrick home for Christmas this year! The holidays just were not quite the same without him last year.
