Trip to Ft. Hood

Hi everyone, Patrick made it to Ft. Hood safely, and has been assigned to the 4th Infantry Division, 1st Bbrigade Combat team. I don't really know what that means, but that is where he is. We are still waiting for a mailing address, but Patrick does have his laptop and is able to go on the computer from time to time. I will update you once we know more. Patrick has a temporary room he shares with three other guys right now.

On his trip down to Texas, Pat's day was full of surprises. My parents, and my other brother, Mike, accompanied him to the airport. Pat had to fly in his Army uniform, and when he was checking in his two bags, he was told they were overweight. The gentleman at check-in waived his fee and allowed the overweight bags. Not only that, but the same man gave my parents, and Mike security passes to wait with Patrick until he boarded the plane. Pat's flight was delayed 1 hour leaving Hartford, and when Patrick went to check in, they upgrade his seating arrangement to first class!! It was really nice of the airport to do all these great things for him. Anyways, that is the recent news. More to follow when we know more!
